Far West likely to witness cloudy weather and moderate rainfall until Thursday

Far West: Monsoon rains are currently occurring in most parts of the Far West Province, including Dhangadhi of Kailali. According to the Hydrology and Meteorology Office, Attariya, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in most areas of the province until Thursday.

Office Chief Engineer Sanjay Kumar Sah said that the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy until next Thursday, with moderate rainfall likely in the Terai and hilly regions and light rainfall in the Himalayan region.

“Instead of continuous rainfall, there may be occasional rain and sunshine until Thursday. During this period, the weather is expected to remain cloudy across the Terai, hilly and mountainous regions of the province, while the possibility of heavy rainfall is low,” he said. “However, residents living in riverbank areas and low-lying areas vulnerable to flooding need to remain especially alert.”

According to the office, the hilly regions are expected to remain generally cloudy with moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in many places and heavy rainfall possible in one or two places. The Terai region is also expected to remain generally cloudy with a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at some places.

The Meteorological Department stated in its bulletin that tonight, the Himalayan region is expected to remain generally cloudy with moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places. The hilly region is expected to remain generally cloudy with moderate rainfall and thunder and lightning possible at a few places, while the Terai region is also expected to remain generally cloudy with moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning possible at a few places.
