Tikapur-Rajapur suspension bridge reopens after pillar repair

Tikapur: The suspension bridge connecting Tikapur-Daulatpur to Rajapur in Bardiya has reopened after necessary repair works were completed. The bridge, which had been closed for a week after a crack was found in its pillar, was reopened for public use from Monday.

Construction company Thani Nirman Sevas stated that the issue may have occurred due to excessive crowding on the bridge and the condition of the soil at the pillar base. According to the company, the damaged section has been repaired and the bridge is now completely safe for use.

The construction company has also expressed its commitment to provide a sustainable solution through a technical team if similar problems arise in the future. It has urged the public not to gather unnecessarily on the bridge.

Recently, a large number of domestic tourists have been visiting the bridge daily to observe the structure.
