Illegal homemade firearm recovered from community forest in Bajura

Bajura: Police have recovered an illegal homemade firearm from a community forest in Gaumul Rural Municipality of Bajura.

According to the District Police Office, Bajura, the firearm was found hidden inside the Suryodaya Community Forest in Amlis, Gaumul Rural Municipality-1 on Saturday. Acting on a special tip-off, a police team from the Area Police Office, Gaumul, recovered the weapon, which had been left unattended in the forest.

The seized firearm has been brought to the District Police Office, Bajura. Further investigation into the incident is underway, according to Naresh Bahadur Shahi, Information Officer and Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Bajura.
