Towards resolution of Bagbazar-Anarkholi road boundary dispute in Dadeldhura
Dadeldhura: The four-year-old dispute regarding the right-of-way of the Bagbazar-Anarkholi road section in Dadeldhura has moved forward.
An all-party and all-stakeholder meeting chaired by Chief District Officer Amar Bahadur Wali has unanimously decided to recommend to the Government of Nepal to establish a 15-meter right-of-way from the center of the road.
The meeting has also decided to immediately proceed with the map approval process by Amargadhi Municipality after completing the necessary legal procedures within the said boundary. With this, it is expected that the long-stalled house construction, banking transactions and urban development activities will resume.
Although the final decision regarding the right-of-way will be made by the Government of Nepal, this decision is seen as an important initiative towards resolving the road boundary dispute that has been going on for years at the local level.
