Tractor accident in Baitadi’s Purchaudi, driver dies on the spot

Dhangadhi: A tractor driver has died after a tractor accident in Purchaudi Municipality of Baitadi.

The accident occurred at Ratashila of Purchaudi Municipality, where 44-year-old tractor driver Dev Singh Bhandari lost his life.

According to Baitadi Police, the tractor (S.P.P.R.02-001 T.1600) heading from Purghat to Dholyamod fell around 20 to 25 meters off the road at around 3:30 pm on Thursday.

Bhandari, a resident of Purchaudi Municipality-1, Budda, and currently living in Mahendranagar, died at the scene, police said.

No other passengers were reportedly present in the tractor. A police team from Purghat Police Station, Baitadi, has been deployed at the incident site.
