Student organization urges action against theft, drug abuse and social evils in Tikapur

Tikapur: The United Students Organization, Tikapur has urged the Area Administration Office to take effective measures to control increasing incidents of theft, drug abuse and activities affecting social harmony in the area.

The organization submitted a letter of concern to the Area Administration Office, Tikapur on Wednesday, expressing concern over the recent rise in theft incidents, drug dealing, character assassination, abusive language and illegal activities through social media.

Through the letter, the student organization demanded effective investigation into theft cases, bringing those involved to justice, launching special campaigns against drug abuse and increasing security patrols in public areas.

Similarly, it has demanded strict action against individuals involved in cybercrime, threats and character assassination activities through social media and other means.

The organization also urged the administration to conduct public awareness programs against drug abuse in coordination with schools, campuses and communities, and take effective steps to maintain peace, security and law enforcement.

The letter of concern was signed by Harish Neupane, central committee member of ANNFSU, Kinmaund (Kinam) Tikapure, president of Tikapur Multiple Campus Students' Union, Gopal Khatri, president of Birendra Vidyamandir Multiple Campus Students' Union, and Dipendra Kathayat, president of the Nepali Students' Union unit, among others.
