Kanchanpur Chamber hands over drug control equipment to police

Mahendranagar: The Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry has provided necessary checking equipment to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, to support drug control efforts.

At a program organized at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday, Chief District Officer Madan Koirala and Chamber President Dinesh Malla jointly handed over the equipment, including five bicycles, flashlights and other materials, to the police.

On the occasion, Chief District Officer Koirala said that the private sector’s participation in community security and the anti-drug campaign is commendable. He expressed confidence that the equipment provided would support police efforts in crime control.

Kanchanpur Police Chief Netramani Giri said the equipment received would help make the anti-drug campaign more effective and called for cooperation from all sectors of society in such initiatives.

Chamber President Dinesh Malla highlighted the need for collective cooperation with security agencies under social responsibility to control drug addiction among youths. He said the chamber would continue supporting efforts to build a peaceful, secure and drug-free society.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also stated that it will provide 100 kits to the police every month for drug use checks.
