Man who showed private parts to girl in Lalitpur is from Baitadi

Dhangadhi: It has been revealed that the man who showed private parts to a girl walking alone in a street in Imadol, Lalitpur, is from Baitadi. Surendra Bhatta, an education officer from Ward No. 7 of Patan Municipality, Baitadi, showed his private parts to a girl walking on the road on Sunday.

The incident took place at around 6:30 pm on Sunday. The victim girl had taken a video of the man after the incident and made it public on the social media TikTok. After the video was made public, the incident attracted widespread attention.

According to the District Police Range, Lalitpur, 55-year-old Surendra Bhatta, a resident of Baitadi, has been arrested on charges of involvement in the incident. He was currently living in Imadol, Mahalaxmi Municipality-2, Lalitpur. It has been revealed that Bhatta is working as an education officer at the Ministry of Defense in Singha Durbar.

According to the police, Bhatta is accused of removing his clothes and exposing his private parts after seeing the girl alone in the street. The girl then gathered courage and followed him, recording a video on her smartphone and requesting him to arrest her. The video also shows another passenger taking control of the accused, forcing the victim to bend her legs, and the accused saying 'sorry'.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim, the Imadol Police Division has started an investigation. The Lalitpur Police said that further investigation is underway by collecting CCTV footage related to the incident.
