Helicopter booking now available through Pathao app in Nepal

Kathmandu: Helicopters can now be booked through Pathao. Pathao Nepal, which is evolving into a super app through ride-sharing services, has expanded its platform to include helicopter booking via its mobile application.

The mobility platform Pathao has launched a helicopter booking service called “Pathao Heli” in collaboration with Simrik Airlines.

The company stated that Pathao Nepal, which began with ride-sharing, has now expanded into parcel delivery, food delivery, and home services, and has further extended its services through Pathao Heli. Passengers can now easily book helicopters with pricing details through the Pathao app or via the Pathao Heli website, pathaoheli.com.

According to the company, helicopters can be booked for religious, natural, and tourist destinations including Muktinath, Gosaikunda, Sagarmatha Base Camp, and Annapurna Base Camp.

A helicopter can carry four to five passengers at a time. Pathao Heli has been presented as suitable for pilgrimages, scenic trips for newlyweds, family tours, and short trips to various tourist destinations with friends.

Pathao Nepal Managing Director Yashu Thakali said, “Our goal is to grow Nepal’s digital economy by 10 times. We are moving forward by combining mobility, parcel delivery, food delivery, and e-commerce on a single platform.”

The company stated that the service has been launched keeping in mind the Nepal Tourism Year 2085 announced by the Government of Nepal.
