Kathmandu: Balen Shah has decided not to address the main ceremony आयोजित on the occasion of Republic Day and has informed the President’s Office of his decision.

A special समारोह is scheduled to be held at the Sainik Manch, Tundikhel, to mark Republic Day. It is a long-standing tradition for high-ranking dignitaries, including the President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Speaker, and National Assembly Chairperson, to attend the event. As per tradition, the Prime Minister has been delivering the संबोधन at the ceremony.

However, Balen Shah, who has been showing low attendance at public events, has chosen not to address the main Republic Day ceremony this year. According to sources, he has also written to the President requesting that the address be delivered by the President instead.

“A letter has been sent requesting that the President address the ceremony at Tundikhel in place of the Prime Minister on the occasion of Republic Day,” a source stated.
