Vote counting ongoing for Navajivan Cooperative as Gopal Pathak leads Chairman race
Dhangadhi: Vote counting for the election of the board of directors of Navajivan Cooperative is ongoing, with chairman candidate Gopal Pathak maintaining his lead.
According to the latest results after counting 8,550 votes, Gopal Pathak has secured 2,614 votes, while his competitor Keshav Raj Mishra has received 542 votes. The vote difference between Pathak and Mishra has reached 72 votes. Another chairman candidate, Ghana Bahadur Shah, has received 2,034 votes. As counting continues, the results are becoming increasingly competitive.
In the vice-chairman race, Uttam Joshi has received 2,410 votes, followed by Ishwar Prasad Joshi with 2,224 votes and Upendra Bista with 1,651 votes. For the position of coordinator of the Accounts Supervisory Committee, Ganeshi Joshi has secured 2,940 votes, while Chetraj Joshi has received 2,832 votes.
Similarly, 9,204 votes have been counted for the member positions. Keshavraj Joshi is leading with 3,126 votes, followed by Kopila Kunwar with 2,451 votes, Khemraj Pandey with 1,971 votes, Ganesh Bam with 1,963 votes, and Jayaraj Joshi with 1,930 votes.
Out of a total of 40,593 share members of the cooperative, 15,500 participated in the voting held on Saturday.
