Absconding manslaughter convict arrested in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Police in Kanchanpur have arrested a defendant who had been convicted by the court in a manslaughter case and was absconding.

A team from the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, apprehended 33-year-old Sebaraj Rana (Senraj), a resident of Nauranga in Laljhari Rural Municipality Ward No. 1, who had been on the run following his conviction.

The District Court, Kanchanpur, had found Rana guilty in a manslaughter case on the 8th day of the 10th month of 2082 BS. Police stated that a special team from the District Police Office took him into custody following the court’s verdict.

The District Police Office, Kanchanpur, has said that preparations are underway to present the arrested individual before the court for further necessary action.
