Teen girl found dead in forest in Achham after four days missing

Achham: A young woman who had been missing for four days has been found dead in a forest.

Amrita Saund, 17/18-year-old daughter of Jitu Saund of Budabanda in Mangalsen Municipality-13 of the district, had been missing since Jestha 20. Police said she was found dead in a forest near her home on Friday.

According to the police, she had left home at around 5 pm on Jestha 20, saying she was going to collect firewood, after which she went missing. During the search, she was found hanging, according to the District Police Office, Achham.

After receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the site and a preliminary investigation has been initiated, said Police Inspector Dinesh Prasad Rimal, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Achham. Police stated that further details of the incident will be made public after the investigation.
