Congress to hold Far-West provincial level gathering in Dhangadhi from tomorrow

Dhangadhi: The Nepali Congress is set to organize a Far-Western provincial level gathering in Dhangadhi. Following the special general convention, the party is preparing to hold a gathering focused on provincial and local levels. The program will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

At a press conference held in Dhangadhi on Friday, the party stated that preparations for the gathering have reached the final stage. Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa and other central leaders are scheduled to address the event.

Speaking at the press conference, Congress Joint General Secretary Prakash Rasaili Snehi said that a detailed review of the House of Representatives elections held on 21 Falgun will be conducted at the provincial level training gathering. He also informed that the performance of elected people's representatives at the local level will be discussed.

According to him, party Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma has already participated in the gathering, while President Thapa is scheduled to arrive in Dhangadhi on Saturday morning. This program is being viewed with interest as the first review gathering in Sudurpaschim, the home province of outgoing Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, after the special general convention.

Earlier, during the House of Representatives elections, leaders including Speaker Thapa attempted to hold election-related programs in the Far West, but it is said that the program could not take place due to a lack of internal coordination.
