Government re-recommends constitutional council ordinance after presidential return

Kathmandu: The government has once again recommended to the President the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council for issuance. The Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to re-recommend the 'Constitutional Council (First Amendment) Ordinance 2083'.

According to government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel, out of the eight ordinances recommended earlier, seven have already been issued by the President. However, the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council was returned by the President for reconsideration.

Spokesperson Pokharel stated that the ordinance has been re-recommended without any changes.
