Man arrested for allegedly tying and beating 9-year-old boy in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Police have arrested 36-year-old Bhoj Nath after he allegedly tied up and severely beat a 9-year-old boy in Polkhari, Bedkot Municipality-5, Kanchanpur. Police said he was taken into custody after a video of the incident went viral on social media on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, Nath tied and beat the boy on the accusation of stealing cucumbers. The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday afternoon. The victim has filed a complaint against Nath in the murder industry.

The boy, who resides in Bedkot-3, has his parents working in India. He was living at his maternal uncle’s house in Polkhari, where his grandmother was taking care of him.

The injured boy was handed over to his relatives after receiving treatment at Mahakali Provincial Hospital, according to the Information Officer of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur.
