Dhangadhi team sets out for 'Api Himal Base Camp' to promote Far-west tourism
Dhangadhi: A team from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City has embarked on a tourist to Api Himal Base Camp with the objective of promoting tourism in the Far West.
The 30-member team, led by Mayor Gopal Hamal, departed on Monday under the slogan “We introduce our Far West.” Mayor Hamal himself joined the यात्रा with the aim of promoting the Far West’s tourist destinations at both national and international levels.
Earlier, during his tenure as the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he had launched the “Beautiful Far West” campaign. He stated that this initiative by the local government is a continuation of that campaign, aimed at promoting Himalayan and tourist areas. The team was formally bid farewell in Dhangadhi on Monday with musical instruments and flower garlands.
The farewell program was attended by local representatives, stakeholders, and members of the public, who extended their best wishes to the team. The group has set out on a 10-day itinerary, during which they will trek to the base camp of Api Himal.
The team began its journey by bus from Dhangadhi and plans to proceed on foot after reaching the designated point. It is expected that this यात्रा will help bring attention to the underexplored tourism potential of the Far West region.
