Dhangadhi: The 14th annual general assembly of the Nepal Distributors Federation is set to be held in Dhangadhi, the economic hub of Sudurpaschim Province.

For the first time, the federation is organizing its general assembly in the Far West. As an umbrella organization of distributors from across the country dealing in daily consumer goods, both domestically produced and imported, the federation is hosting the event with the aim of promoting tourism in Sudurpaschim Province.

According to a press conference held today, the general assembly will take place over two days on April 11 and 12. The event will be inaugurated by the Province Chief of Sudurpaschim Province, Nazir Miyan, informed federation President Durga Gautam.

More than 300 representatives from across the country are expected to participate in the assembly. The federation stated that preparations for the event have been completed. The assembly will also discuss various issues, including challenges faced by distributor entrepreneurs due to rising petroleum product prices.

Chairman Gautam said distributors are facing significant difficulties due to the price hike. “Even though the price of petroleum products has increased sharply, we are still required to deliver goods,” he said. “We are facing the most problems.”

He further clarified that despite the rise in fuel prices, transportation costs have not been increased.
