Two children drown in Bajhang after falling into construction ditch

Bajhang: Two children have drowned in Bitthadchir Rural Municipality of Bajhang district.

According to the information provided by the District Police Office, they drowned in a ditch dug for the construction of a house in the Malthilo area of Upper Bitthad, Bitthadchir Rural Municipality-1.

Police said that the bodies were found drowned in the same ditch at around 2 pm while searching for the children who had been missing since around 11 am today.

According to Police Inspector Deepak Bista, the information officer of the District Police Office, the deceased are Janis Bohara, the 5-year-old son of Gagan Bohara of Bitthadchir-1, and Pinsa Bohara, the 6-year-old daughter of Santosh Bohara of the same place.

Locals and the police had searched for them. Police said that both of them drowned in a ditch dug for the construction of a house.
