NEPSE index falls by 33.83 points

Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has declined. Today, the NEPSE index dropped by 33.83 points to 2,833.03 points, marking a decrease of 1.18 percent.

Today, 27.43 million shares of 342 companies were bought and sold 111,607 times, generating a turnover of Rs 9.31 billion 28.60 million 808 million, according to NEPSE.

All the sub-indices of the group decreased in today’s trading. Banking decreased by 0.80 percent, Development Bank by 1.15 percent, Finance by 1.98 percent, Hotel and Tourism by 0.50 percent, Hydropower by 1.51 percent, and Investment group by 1.27 percent. Similarly, life insurance decreased by 0.90 percent, production and processing by 1.54 percent, microfinance by 0.71 percent, mutual funds by 0.14 percent, non-life insurance by 1.28 percent, trade by 1.01 percent and other groups by 1.90 percent.

The share prices of Ridgeline Energy Limited and Suryakunda Hydro Electric Limited have entered a positive circuit. The share price of Sindhu Bikas Bank decreased the most today, with its share price falling by 9.47 percent, according to NEPSE.
