Smart streetlights inaugurated at nine wards under ‘Ujyalo Dhangadhi’ program
Dhangadhi: Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City has inaugurated smart street lights installed in various wards under the ‘Ujyalo Dhangadhi’ program. The lights were inaugurated at nine locations across the sub-metropolitan city on Sunday.
As per the policy and program of the sub-metropolitan city, street lights have been installed in different wards under the eighth phase of the ‘Ujyalo Dhangadhi’ campaign, with the objective of developing “One ward, one economic center (market area).”
The street lights were simultaneously inaugurated by ward chairpersons and other people’s representatives at various locations.
In Ward No. 1, street lights installed in front of Nova Hospital and near Setopul were inaugurated. The lights installed from Kailali Bridge to Campus Road were inaugurated by Ward Chairperson Santosh Mudbhari along with ward members. Mayor Gopal Hamal, Deputy Mayor Kandakala Kumari Rana, people’s representatives, municipal employees, and local residents were present on the occasion.
In Ward No. 3, street lights installed on the road to Fapla were inaugurated by Ward Chairperson Raj Bahadur Air in front of Vivek Dana Mill, in the presence of ward members and local residents.
Similarly, in Ward No. 7, lights installed along the road from Beli Hanuman Temple to Setopul were inaugurated by Ward Chairperson Moti Rana near the road leading to Jugeda and near the old ward office in Manehara.
In Ward No. 8, lights installed on Anamnagar Hulaki Road were inaugurated by Ward Chairperson Jugram Chaudhary near the chowk leading to Manehara village, with local residents present.
In Ward No. 11, lights installed from Bela Chowk to Thapa Chowk were inaugurated by Ward Chairperson Roop Bahadur Kunwar near Upadhyay Mill in Bela.
Similarly, in Ward No. 12, lights installed in Jugeda ‘A’ village were inaugurated by Ward Chairperson Sher Bahadur Mahara near the center plot. In Ward No. 17, lights installed in the Ghurjanna area were inaugurated by Ward Chairperson Madhav Rana in front of the ward office, with the presence of local residents.
This marks the eighth phase of the ‘Ujyalo Dhangadhi’ program implemented by Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City. The initiative is expected to make the urban area safer, more orderly, and well-lit, while also contributing to the development of local market areas and expansion of economic activities.
