Mass media bill referred to committee for clause-wise discussion in Sudurpaschim assembly

Dhangadhi: The Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly has sent the ‘Bill to make arrangements for mass media in the Sudurpaschim Province’ to the Legislation and Provincial Affairs Committee for clause-wise discussion.

During today’s Provincial Assembly meeting, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hira Sarki presented a proposal to forward the bill to the committee, which was unanimously approved.

Similarly, the ‘Bill to make arrangements for pesticide management in the Sudurpaschim Province’ has been referred to the Social Development Committee for clause-wise discussion. The proposal submitted by Minister Sarki was also unanimously endorsed by the Assembly.

The meeting also approved a proposal regarding changes in the membership of two thematic committees under the Provincial Assembly. The proposal, presented by Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari, was passed by the House.

As per the decision, Provincial Assembly member Prakash Bahadur Deuba has been moved from the Public Accounts Committee to the Social Development Committee, while Khushi Ram Dagoura has been transferred from the Social Development Committee to the Public Accounts Committee.
