40 quintals of smuggled mustard seized from Belauri border area

Dhangadhi: The Armed Police Force has seized 40 quintals of mustard that were illegally brought into Nepal from Belauri in Kanchanpur.

The seizure was made on Tuesday afternoon by a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Yogyakarta Basnet from the Armed Police Force Nepal Border Security Force, Belauri. The mustard was recovered from Fatiya in Belauri Municipality-1.

According to the Armed Police Force, the consignment had been illegally transported into Nepal through the border area at Fatiya and was found abandoned. The seized mustard, estimated to be worth Rs 600,000, has been sent to the Kailali Customs Office for necessary action.
