Shivraj Bhatta appointed Minister of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment in Sudurpaschim; swearing-in scheduled today
Dhangadhi: Nepali Congress Provincial Assembly member Shivraj Bhatta has been appointed as the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment in Sudurpaschim Province, filling a position that has been vacant for an extended period.
The appointment was unanimously decided during a parliamentary party meeting held on Monday, chaired by Chief Minister and Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Kamal Bahadur Shah. Bhatta represents Baitadi Provincial Assembly (B) as a Nepali Congress elected member.
The meeting also extended congratulations to the federal government formed following the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21 and conveyed best wishes to the Council of Ministers led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah for a successful tenure.
Additionally, a three-member committee has been formed to provide suggestions for the preparation of the budget for the fiscal year 2083/084. The committee, coordinated by Chief Whip Bikram Singh Dhami, includes Geeta Kumari Chaudhary and Padam Bahadur Shahi.
The swearing-in ceremony of Minister Shivraj Bhatta is scheduled to take place today at 5 pm at the office of the provincial chief.
