IGP Raju Aryal orders strict action against unauthorized entry into Khakraula camp
Dhangadhi: Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Nepal (IGP) Raju Aryal has emphasized the need for strict action against those who breach the security of Armed Police Force installations, citing recent lapses at the Khakraula camp.
Speaking at the 25th foundation day of the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 7 Baidyanath Bahini Headquarters in Attariya, Kailali, IGP Aryal stated that while the Armed Police Force serves as a strong guard for the country’s internal security, its own security has occasionally been compromised.
“Recently, an illegal act occurred with individuals entering the Khakraula camp of the Border Security Force. The law does not prohibit the use of force in such situations, and the organization has taken these matters seriously,” he said.
IGP Aryal stressed that legal action should be taken according to the law, without leniency toward criminals and smugglers. He further warned that Armed Police personnel found taking photos during incidents such as the Gulma attack could face disciplinary measures, including suspension.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the Nepal Police, IGP Aryal noted that only a case of indecent behavior has been filed against those involved in the attack. “So far, only one person has been arrested, and the case filed is only for indecent behavior. I request that cases be filed for theft of arms, robbery, and attacks on security forces in government units. The organization is taking this seriously,” he added.
