Baitadi: Public services in Baitadi district are becoming increasingly intermediary-free, with faster and more accessible service delivery for citizens.

Residents have reported a positive shift as government offices enhance their operations, creating a more service recipient-friendly environment. Previously, even simple tasks often required long waits, but services are now being delivered quickly, efficiently, and with simplicity.

Improvements are evident across both local and district-level offices. The District Administration Office, Baitadi, has intensified efforts to eliminate intermediaries in public service delivery. In an official notice, the administration emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against any illegal activity involving the collection of money under the pretext of assisting service recipients. All offices have been directed to ensure services are intermediary-free.

Additionally, instructions have been issued to relevant bodies to make service provision more effective, timely, and accessible. By providing services free of charge at the local level, citizens are saving both time and money.

This reform has particularly benefited residents in rural areas and is expected to enhance transparency, efficiency, and good governance in Baitadi’s public service system.
