RPP MP Gyanendra Shahi urges government to become a “Lamp of Hope,” warns of intervention if It becomes a “Flame”

Kathmandu: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) MP Gyanendra Shahi has called on the Balendra Shah-led government to serve as a center of hope and trust for the people. Speaking in the House of Representatives on Thursday, he emphasized that the government should avoid repeating past weaknesses and must heed the voice of the citizens.

Shahi stressed that the government should function not merely as a mechanism of power but as a “lamp of hope” to illuminate the future of the people. He added that his party has a responsibility to safeguard this lamp and warned that they are prepared to intervene if the government veers off course and becomes a “flame.”

He further stated that the RPP can assist the government in securing a two-thirds majority if necessary and clarified that the party is ready to support initiatives to amend the constitution to abolish the provincial structure and restore the constitutional monarchy.
