Minister Pratibha Rawal assumes charge of 'General Administration and Land Ministries'
Kathmandu: Newly appointed Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal has assumed office.
Minister Rawal arrived at Singha Durbar today after taking the oath of office and secrecy at a special ceremony held at the President’s House, Sheetal Niwas. Immediately after assuming charge of the Ministry of General Administration, she also took responsibility for the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.
Minister Rawal expressed her commitment to delivering results that people can directly experience. Representing Kanchanpur, she said she is familiar with land-related issues and also aware of the challenges facing the cooperative sector. “I am also aware of the issues of problematic cooperatives,” she said. “We will move forward by collaborating with everyone on what can be done to solve the problem and how to proceed. Since this work is directly related to the people, we should work in a way that the people feel it.”
Following her assumption of office, Ministry Secretary Madan Bhujel briefed her on issues related to problematic cooperatives, challenges in returning savings, and various pressure groups formed in the name of cooperative victims.
