4.1 Magnitude earthquake recorded near Rayal in Bajhang

Kathmandu: An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck near Rayal in Bajhang district at 1:14 pm today.

According to the National Seismology and Research Center in Lainchaur, the epicenter of the quake was located near Rayal.

Earlier, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake had been recorded near Sitaula in Darchula on Chaitra 18. Nepal, being a Himalayan region, experiences both small and large earthquakes at different times.
