DSP Bista and inspector pant deployed to Khakraula following attack on armed police personnel

Dhangadhi: Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Devraj Bista and Armed Police Inspector Suryaprakash Pant have been deployed to Khakraula, Tikapur, Kailali, following an attack on Armed Police personnel at the local Border Security Force post.

The incident involved security personnel, including the force chief, who have been called to the headquarters in Halchowk for investigation. Senior Superintendent of Armed Police Digvijay Subedi stated that all 33 personnel on duty at the time, except those on leave, are being questioned.

The attack reportedly occurred after a dispute over seized goods exceeding a businessman's bill in Tikapur. During ongoing discussions between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Armed Police Force regarding the matter, a group entered the BOP and attacked security personnel, including the DSP.

Ram Bahadur Saud has been arrested in connection with the incident, while the police continue to search for other individuals involved. Bista, previously with the Intelligence Bureau, and Pant, from Battalion No. 34 in Dhangadhi, have been sent to strengthen security and manage the situation.
