Dhangadhi: The Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City in Kailali has urged residents to refrain from playing microphones, DJs, and other electronic instruments at high volume during weddings, fasts, weekends, and various festivals. A notice issued by Chief Administrative Officer Narendra Bahadur Khati also requested that pressure horns and firecrackers not be used alongside such devices.

According to the sub-metropolitan city, noise pollution has adversely affected residents, with additional health concerns observed particularly among the elderly, children, and individuals with heart conditions.

The decision has been taken to control noise pollution in accordance with the National Noise Pollution Standards 2069, following repeated complaints from city residents and concerns over environmental impact.

The notice further warned that legal action will be taken against anyone using electronic instruments in violation of these instructions.
