Fresh snowfall in Bajura’s high Lekali region brings cold and hope for winter crops

Bajura: Snowfall has once again occurred in the high Lekali region of Bajura following rainfall that began since Gayarati, bringing colder weather to the area. The region had also experienced snowfall earlier in the month of Magh.

Snowfall has been reported in the Lekali regions and villages of Badimalika, Budhiganga, Triveni and Budhinanda municipalities, as well as in Himali, Khaptad Chhededah, Gaumul, Swamikartik and Jagannath rural municipalities of the district.

The areas most affected by the snowfall include Bichhya, Rugin and Bandhu of Himali Rural Municipality; Amlis and Dahakot of Gaumul Rural Municipality; Kuru and Pandusain of Budhinanda Municipality; and various settlements of Khaptad Chhededah Rural Municipality.

Although daily life has been affected to some extent due to the snowfall, local farmers have expressed happiness, believing the snowfall will be beneficial for winter crops.
