Gold and silver prices rise in local market

Kathmandu: Gold and silver prices have increased in the local market today. Compared to Monday, gold has risen by Rs 3,800 per tola and silver by Rs 310 per tola.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Merchants' Federation, the price of gold in the local market has been fixed at Rs 317,000 per tola today, while the price of one tola of silver has been set at Rs 5,720. On Monday, one tola of gold was traded at Rs 313,200 and the same amount of silver at Rs 5,410.

According to international media, one ounce of gold is being traded at Rs 5,141 and the same amount of silver at $875 in the international market today.
