'Shrimad Bhagwat Sapta Gyan Mahayagya' to be organized by women and children’s save house in Attariya
Attariya: The Women and Children’s Save House in Attariya, Kailali, is set to organize the Shrimad Bhagwat Sapta Gyan Mahayagya from Magh 26 to Falgun 3 with the objective of establishing an Akshaya Kosh for the organization.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Save House on Wednesday, President Janaki Malasi said that the fund to be created from the amount collected during the Mahayagya will be used to support the Save House through the interest earned. She stated that although the organization is currently operating from a building provided free of cost by a hospital, it is facing significant difficulties in managing other expenses.
She urged the general public to extend support to the Shrimad Bhagwat Sapta Gyan Mahayagya. According to her, the Save House currently shelters 46 children and two women, and the number of children coming and going is expected to continue.
It has been reported that the main narrator of the Shrimad Bhagwat Sapta Gyan Mahayagya will be Pujya Devi Sumi Manav. Financial coordinator Dr. Nar Bahadur Mauni said that preparations for the Mahayagya are underway. Dr. Mauni, who is also a patron of the organization, said the event was planned in view of the financial difficulties faced in operating the Save House. He also appealed to religious devotees and supporters to contribute to making the Mahayagya a success.
According to the organizers, a Shobha (Kalash) Yatra will be organized on Magh 26. From Magh 27 to Falgun 3, daily worship, scripture reading, religious discourse, and decorative Mahaaarti will be held every evening.
Various religious activities, including food donation, fist donation, Tula donation, fasting, and marriage ceremonies, will also be organized during the Mahayagya. To ensure the success of the program, a 51-member main organizing committee has been formed under the coordination of religious figure Padmaraj Joshi, with several sub-committees established to handle preparations.
