Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city begins distribution of Juthe Damai scholarships

Dhangadhi: Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City has started distributing Juthe Damai scholarships in line with its annual policy and program for the fiscal year 2082/083.

The distribution began on Sunday, with Mayor Gopal Hamal and Deputy Mayor Kandakala Kumari Rana handing over educational materials to Dalit girl students studying in grades 8 to 10 at Shiva Secondary School in Dhangadhi–16. According to the Sub-metropolitan City, the Juthe Damai scholarship program is aimed at supporting Dalit girl students enrolled in grades 8 to 10 in community schools across Dhangadhi.

Education Department Chief Ghumman Singh Badayak said that a total of 576 Dalit girl students will receive educational materials under the program this year. The support package includes school bags, 12 notebooks, and 12 pens for each student.
