Kathmandu: Ujjaya Nepal Party has appointed Dr. Tara Joshi, an independent MP from Sudurpaschim Province, as its dialogue coordinator to engage with new and alternative political parties and leaders.

The party, formed under the leadership of Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Energy, and Urban Development Kulman Ghising, has created a dialogue committee headed by Dr. Joshi to hold discussions with Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Rabi Lamichhane.

Following the Gen-z Movement, the Ujjaya Nepal Party has decided to contest the upcoming elections, declaring Kulman Ghising as its prospective Prime Ministerial candidate. On Monday, Mayor Shah and RSWP President Lamichhane held talks concerning the forthcoming House of Representatives elections. Against this backdrop, Dr. Joshi has been tasked with coordinating negotiations to include new and alternative political parties and potential political figures in the elections scheduled for February 21.

The party submitted an updated statement to the Election Commission on November 25, confirming a 51-member central committee led by former Energy Secretary Anukumar Upadhyay. Dr. Joshi, an independent MP from Province Assembly–2 of Dadeldhura, holds the second rank within the party.
