Balmiki Plus Two Rising Star Premier League: Doon Academy, Glee Academy, Aristo School, and Stepping Stone claim victories in four matches

Dhangadhi: Four matches were completed today in the ‘Balmiki Plus Two Rising Star Premier League’ (RPL) cricket tournament held at the Sri Krishna Community Forest playground in Matyari. Doon Academy, Glee Academy, Aristo School, and Stepping Stone emerged victorious in their respective matches.

In the opening match, Doon Academy defeated Brightway Public School by 33 runs. Doon Academy scored 93 runs in 9.3 overs, while Brightway managed only 68 runs in 10 overs.

In the second match, Glee Academy overcame Shaileshwari School by 25 runs. Glee scored 93 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs, while Shaileshwari was restricted to 68 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 10 overs.

The third match saw Aristo School defeat Siddharth Vidya Niketan by 65 runs. Aristo scored 135 runs in 10 overs, and Siddharth was bowled out for 70 runs.

In the fourth match, Stepping Stone secured a 41-run victory. Stepping Stone scored 91 runs in 10 overs, while the opposition was all out for 50 runs in 8.3 overs.

A total of 24 teams from class 8 and below are participating in the tournament, organized by Rising Star Boarding School. According to the school’s managing director, Kalendra Shahi, the winning team will receive Rs 50,000 in cash, and the runner-up will receive Rs 25,000, along with a trophy and medal. Additionally, awards will be presented for the best player (Rs 5,000), best batter, best bowler, and emerging player (Rs 2,000 each).
