Chief Minister Shah launches and supervises seven major infrastructure projects in eastern Kailali
Ghodaghodi: Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah on Thursday laid the foundation stone and carried out on-site supervision of seven infrastructure projects in the eastern region of Kailali. He formally unveiled information boards, inaugurated the start of work, and laid the foundation stones of several important projects in his constituency. The Infrastructure Development Office under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of the Sudurpaschim Province Government has been assigned to implement the projects. During the program, Office Chief Deepak Negi briefed in detail about all seven projects.
Chief Minister Shah inaugurated the Badekhola and Sangurekhola road bridge construction projects in Mohanyal Rural Municipality-7. Himsagar Construction Company, Chitwan, has been awarded the contract for both projects, which are to be completed within two years. The construction cost for the Badekhola bridge is Rs. 126 million 90 thousand 31, while the Sangurekhola bridge is being built at a cost of Rs. 112 million 21 million 67 thousand 968.
While monitoring and supervising the sites, Chief Minister Shah instructed the construction company to complete the works within the stipulated time frame and maintain quality as per the agreement. He also inaugurated the construction of the Lamkichuha Ring Road, which connects the Seti Highway to the border of Janaki Rural Municipality through Amauri, Thapapur, and Chauri.
Tulsi Nissan JV Tikapur has been entrusted with the construction of the 2.6-kilometer blacktopped road. The project, agreed upon in Ashar last year, is scheduled for completion by Ashar 2083 BS at a cost of Rs. 43.964 million. Similarly, Chief Minister Shah also inaugurated four blacktop road construction projects.
The upgrading and blacktopping of the 3.5-kilometer Dundejhari-Tikapur road has also started in the current fiscal year. An agreement was signed with the construction company in Ashar last year to complete the project in one year and six months at a cost of Rs. 69.20 million. The foundation stone of the project was laid after inspecting the site.
Chief Minister Shah also inspected the Chisapani–Solta road upgrade project in Mohanyal Rural Municipality-7 and the road blacktop project from Lamki Chisapani to Rajkanda, unveiling the information boards and inaugurating the works.
In addition, he supervised the strategic route connecting the three municipalities of Mahendra Highway, Intake Hydro, Katase, Khairiphanta, Jagatpur, and Tikapur. The road is to be constructed within one year and six months, with the contract awarded to SS AS/HBJV Company Surkhet at a cost of Rs. 56.266 million. The construction of the bridge and road is expected to ease daily life and contribute to economic prosperity.
