Bajura: Buildings constructed at a cost of Rs 23.66 million in Jukot, Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality-3 of Bajura, have remained unused.

The rural municipality had built the structures four years ago with the plan of establishing a campus. However, due to a lack of use, the buildings have deteriorated. Both buildings have also been turned into sheds. Rural municipality chairman Bharat Bahadur Rokaya said that although there were attempts to operate a school, ward office, or health post in the buildings, they remained unused due to disputes with locals.

The land on which the building stands is registered in the name of Shambhusunanda Secondary School. Locals have not agreed to relocate the school to the newly constructed building. The structures have remained unused due to a dispute between Lower Jukot and Upper Jukot within the rural municipality.

Chairman Rokaya said that discussions are currently underway with all concerned parties to bring the buildings into operation.
