Massive fire in martadi causes crore-scale damage

Bajura: A fire broke out today in the district headquarters Martadi, causing damage estimated to be worth crores of rupees.

Police Inspector Laxmiraj Joshi of the District Police Office reported that the fire started due to a short circuit in an electrical wire at the shop of Prakash Thapa of Badimalika Municipality-8. The incident occurred while woodworking activities were underway in the shop.

The blaze destroyed a furniture factory located in the lower part of Badimalika-8, along with an adjacent car garage. Inspector Joshi stated that the fire was extinguished with active assistance from security personnel and local residents. The exact extent of the losses is yet to be confirmed.
