Full-fledged hospital and medical education to begin soon in Geta: Minister Pun

Dhangadhi: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun has announced that a full-fledged hospital will soon come into operation at Shaheed Dasharath Chand National Health Sciences University in Geta. He said the hospital, which is currently under the Ministry of Health, will be brought under the Ministry of Education and operated as a 600-bed facility.

Receiving a memorandum from the Shaheed Dasharath Chand National Science University Concern and Coordination Committee on Thursday, Minister Pun stated that medical education will begin in the upcoming academic session.

He added that the 600-bed hospital will be opened immediately, and that the appointment of a vice-chancellor and registrar will be made alongside the commencement of medical studies this year.

The memorandum was submitted to the minister by Lograj Pandey, coordinator of the Shaheed Dasharath Chand Health Sciences University Concern and Coordination Committee.
