Three arrested for arson at Kailali district court

Dhangadhi: Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the arson at Kailali District Court during the Genji agitation on Bhadra 24. The arrests were made in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-1.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Singh, spokesperson for the District Police Office Kailali, the arrested individuals are 24-year-old Ashish Bhandari, 30-year-old Aman KC of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3, and 24-year-old Bharat Bam, originally from Purchaudi, Baitadi, and currently residing in Dhangadhi-3.

“During the agitation on Bhadra 24, vehicles, office buildings, case files, computers, and other IT equipment inside the District Court premises were set on fire and vandalized. Police arrested three individuals from Dhangadhi on Tuesday in connection with the incident,” DSP Singh stated.

The district court had lodged a formal complaint requesting an investigation and action against those responsible, leading to the arrests of the three suspects.
