Applications open for vice chancellor and registrar positions at Shaheed Dasharath Chand University of health sciences
Dhangadhi: Shaheed Dasharath Chand University of Health Sciences has announced applications for the positions of Vice Chancellor and Registrar.
The recommendation committee has provided a 15-day window for submission of applications. The committee, formed to recommend candidates for the two posts, approved the selection procedure on 14 Kartik. Applications are being accepted as per the same procedure.
To qualify for the position of Vice Chancellor, applicants must hold a PhD, DM, MCh, or an equivalent degree in a medical education-related field from a recognized university. They must also have served as a university professor for at least 10 years and should not be affiliated with any political party immediately before applying.
For the position of Registrar, candidates must possess at least a master’s degree from a recognized university. In addition, applicants should have a minimum of five years of work experience in teaching, academic research, executive administration of health services in higher education, or in a gazetted first-class or equivalent post within the Government of Nepal or above.
The age criteria for both positions are the same — candidates must be at least 35 years old and not older than 61 years as of the application deadline.
Earlier, the first meeting of the Shaheed Dasharath Chand University Assembly, held on Asoj 28, had formed a recommendation committee for the appointment of the Vice Chancellor and Registrar. The committee is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Jayaraj Awasthi, with Dr. Deepak Mahara and Professor Bharti Joshi serving as members.
