Young man injured in khukuri attack in Kailali’s Lamki

Dhangadhi: A young man from Lamki, Kailali, was seriously injured after being attacked with a khukuri in a group assault.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Dinesh Shahi of Kalika Tole, Lamki-Chuha Municipality-1. According to the District Police Office, Kailali, Shahi was attacked with a khukuri by a group comprising Prem Neupane, Dinesh Neupane, Mukti Neupane, and Dilli Chaulagain, all residents of the same area.

The attack occurred at around 10:40 am on Friday. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Shahi was initially taken to Lal Ratna Hospital in Lamki but was later referred to Kohalpur Medical College in Nepalgunj for further treatment, as his condition required advanced care.

Police said a search operation is underway to locate and arrest those involved in the attack.
