District administration office Kailali fully restores services

Dhangadhi: The District Administration Office (DAO) in Kailali has fully restored its services a month after being vandalized and set on fire during the Gen-G agitation on Bhadra 23 and 24.

Shivraj Joshi, Information Officer of the DAO, stated that services including citizenship, national identity cards, passports, case registration, and judgment execution are now fully operational. “Passport services have resumed, and national identity card and citizenship services were restored from the beginning. If requested by the Election Commission, we can also handle voter registration work,” he added.

The DAO had made alternative arrangements to provide citizenship-related services a few days after the agitation, despite significant damage to important documents. The Ranakalik building of the District Administration Office was destroyed in the arson attack, but the office has now returned to its previous operational status.
