Motorcyclist from Dadeldhura killed in bus collision in Kailali

Dhangadhi: A man from Dadeldhura has died in a collision between a bus and a motorcycle in Kailali.

The accident occurred on the East-West Highway at Simathari in Ghodghodi Municipality-4, when a bus (Na 6 Kha 8454) traveling east to west collided head-on with a motorcycle (Sudurpaschim Province 01-009 Pa 2707) coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased has been identified as Darshan Singh Bhat (31) of Bhalkuda, Ajaymeru Rural Municipality-4, Dadeldhura. Police said Bhat sustained severe injuries in the crash and was rushed to Ghodghodi Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead during treatment.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, the bus along with its driver, Ammar Singh Budhaair (34) of Bhimdatta Municipality-4, Kanchanpur, has been taken into custody for investigation.
