Independence’s unity Mahakali-Mechi yatra kicks off from Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: The Independence’s Unity Mahakali-Mechi Yatra, organized under the banner of “Sankalp Abhiyan Nepal for Building a Prosperous Nation”, has officially begun from Gaddachauki, Kanchanpur.

The campaign was inaugurated by Sudurpaschim Province Assembly member Dr. Tara Dutta Joshi, who handed over the national flag to mark the start of the journey. The yatra is being led by Premraj Bhatta, a youth from Godavari, Kailali.

With the slogan “Nationality, Good Governance, Prosperity, Unity”, the campaign aims to inspire youths to rally behind the national flag rather than party flags. Coordinator Bhatta emphasized that youth should advance the cause of unity and prosperity through national identity.

The yatra will conclude in Dharan in eastern Nepal. The organizers stressed that since political parties have failed to provide solutions to the nation’s challenges, independent representatives should be elected at least at the local level.
