Dhangadhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs is set to establish six new area administration offices in the Far West Province to improve administrative services and reduce the hardships faced by residents of district headquarters. Across the country, 23 new area administration offices are planned, with six allocated to the Far West Province. The plan emphasizes utilizing existing resources without increasing the number of government posts.

The proposed offices include Kolti in Bajura, Deura in Bajhang, Sanfebagar in Achham, Bipinagar in Doti, Gokuleshwar in Darchula, and Melauli in Baitadi.

The proposal, aimed at providing easier access to administrative services for citizens in rural areas, was submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Council of Ministers based on the Organization and Management Survey Report. The Council approved the proposal on Monday and forwarded it to the Administration Committee of the Council of Ministers.

The Ministry has emphasized that the new offices will make maximum use of existing resources, address local needs, and ensure effective service delivery in coordination with local authorities without creating additional posts. The Area Administration Offices play a critical role in delivering services such as citizenship and passport issuance, national identity cards, disaster management, and public security to local communities.
