Kanchanpur: The search for two girls who went missing after being swept away while bathing in the Mahakali River in Bhimdatta Municipality-11, Bhujela, Kanchanpur, remains ongoing.

Seven-year-old Sanbi Panta and six-year-old Jeevika Panta disappeared on Sunday while bathing in the river. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sagar Bohara of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, a joint search operation involving Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, and local residents has been underway since Sunday evening.

The search efforts have been hindered by the strong current and high water flow in the river, complicating rescue operations.
