Woman injured in attack by unknown assailants in Baitadi

Baitadi: A woman sustained injuries after being attacked by an unknown group in Baitadi.

Manju Nath, approximately 50 years old, of Letthekot, Dilashaini Rural Municipality-5, was assaulted while sleeping in her home around 1 a.m. on Friday, according to Yagyaraj Bhatta, spokesperson of Dilashaini Rural Municipality. Nath was attacked with a sharp weapon, resulting in a head injury.

She is currently receiving treatment at Gokuleshwor Hospital. The identity of the attackers remains unknown, said Police Inspector Balram Pandey, spokesperson of the District Police Office. Inspector Pandey confirmed that a further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
